Saratoga
Saratoga is a city in Santa Clara County, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Located on the Western edge of the Silicon Valley, and tucked away in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Saratoga is known locally for its residential community with a small-town feel, wineries, restaurants, beautiful parks, excellent schools, and distinctive cultural institutions, including the Montalvo Arts Center with it’s two theaters, an art gallery, the historic Villa Montalvo, an artist residency complex, hiking trails and gardens. The famous Mountain Winery offers a variety of dining options, wine tasting and entertainment in it’s intimate 2,500 seat outdoor amphitheater, recently named one of the Coolest Concert Venues in the US by Buzzfeed. Saratoga is home to Hakone Estate & Gardens, one of the oldest Japanese estate, retreat and gardens in th Western Hemisphere. The Village, Saratoga’s historic downtown district, is filled to the brim with unique shops and fine dining destinations and its dedication to retaining a small-town feel means that smaller, locally owned shops aren’t the exception – they’re the standard. In 2018, data from the American Community Survey revealed that Saratoga was the 8th wealthiest city in the United States and was also ranked by Forbes in 2009 as one of America's top 20 most-educated small towns.
